The piece was only seven weeks old when the forces that gave the world premiere reassembled in RCA Victor's Trinty Church Studio in Camden, New Jersey, to record it on December 24th, 1934.
The pianist is composer Sergei Rachmaninoff himself, joined by the Philadelphia Orchestra under Leopold Stokowski. It has been restored and remastered for this exclusive Classic 107.3 broadcast.
